Susan Ankersen is a multi-faceted Danish artist based in Los Angeles, who tells invisible, ephemeral stories through scent, creates accessories with precious metal by hand, and manages her jewelry and perfume businesses. As her friends refer to her – a perfume & gemstone junkie – she spends her travels in search of special, rare and unusual materials to integrate in her work. Creativity and healing powers are embodied in her creations, in hopes that the wearer will experience the positive energies imparted by the scent, sparkle, and sensuality of materials, imbuing new and unique memories.

Originally from Denmark, Susan attended Santa Monica College and in 2004, she introduced her first jewelry collection. These original pieces included many of the healing gemstones she had collected over the years. She is now known for her combinations of pure sterling silver and 14 karat goldfill with unusual bold stones, and rough unpolished gems.
She has exhibited her olfactory art at The London Design Museum, JPL NASA – Houston, Herman Miller, and the Torrance Art Museum.
Susan’s jewelry designs have been featured in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Siempre Mujer and Noi.Se.. It can also be seen on several episodes of ABC’s Golden-Globe-award-winning show Ugly Betty.
